It was a great 2022 LGA Kids day hosted by the LGA Kiwanis and Port Authority. Thousands of family members were thrilled at the jet aircraft, SAR helicopters, police K9s, CBP Explorers, beat from the Sunnydale Drum Corps and exhibits from aviation law enforcement, Port Wildlife, face painting, Skytypers team, and of course FREE hotdogs for all from the Kiwanis members. Here LGA GM Tony Vero and Jeff Yapalater of the Airport Voice tour the event and remark on what a great day it was.
Airport Worker families and kids from as far as Staten Island came to see this year’s event which was not held the past two years because of Covid. With the airport mask mandate removed, it was terrific for everyone to spend time meeting pilots, ground crew, law enforcement personnel, pet the Police canines and learn about future opportunities with careers in aviation.
