A Woodside cellphone store near St. Sebastian’s Church was robbed at gunpoint by three men late last month, and the NYPD on Saturday, Sept. 3, released new video surveillance images from inside the shop that caught them in the act.

Police from the 108th Precinct in Long Island City are looking for the three suspects who entered the AT&T store at 58-20 Roosevelt Ave. just before 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, when one of them allegedly pulled out a handgun and forced a 32-year-old store employee into the back office and demanded he open the safe containing a variety of cellphones.

The men then stuffed a large quantity of the devices into a duffel bag before running off with approximately $60,000 worth of merchandise, police said, adding that there were no injuries reported as a result of the robbery.

The three suspects were described as between 25 to 35 years old with dark complexions and medium builds. One wore a white T-shirt, gray shorts, white sneakers, a white hat, and a black face mask. The second suspect wore all black clothing, white sneakers, a black hat, blue face mask and was last seen carrying the duffel bag. The third suspect wore a light purple hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, white sneakers and a blue face mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
