NYPD search for two men who stole from 86-year-old woman in Astoria

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals in connection with a grand larceny incident on Friday, Oct. 7 at the Duane Reade located at 35-06 Broadway in Astoria. 

At approximately 1 p.m., police from the 114th Precinct reported that two individuals approached an 86-year-old woman and without her knowledge, took her wallet containing $40 cash and an Apple iPhone. The second individual shielded the other while he took her belongings. 

The first male is described as having a light complexion, short brown hair, medium build with one leg. He was last seen wearing a dark colored t-shirt, light colored camouflaged hooded jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers and using crutches.

The second is described as a male with light complexion, short dark hair with a stocky build. He last seen wearing a light-colored sweatshirt, blue jeans, a Puma baseball cap, black sneakers, a dark colored jacket and wearing eyeglasses.
