A car service driver was robbed at knifepoint as he picked up a passenger on 179th Street in Jamaica last month, according to authorities.
The perpetrator allegedly called for a ride at the location at around 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20. Once inside the vehicle, he allegedly pulled out a knife and forcibly removed $400 in cash from the 19-year-old driver, police said. The suspect jumped out of the car and ran off northbound on 179th Street.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the armed robber who was wearing a distinctive white hooded jacket with black and gray smudges.
A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to his arrest.
