Duck Donuts, known for serving warm, delicious, customizable, made-to-order doughnuts, other baked goods and a range of beverages, is coming soon to Fresh Meadows.
On its website and Facebook, the national doughnut chain announced that it will open a new store near Kohls at the Fresh Meadows Shopping Center, located at 61-32 190th St.
Duck Donuts opened its first locations in 2007 in the beach resort towns of Duck and Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, with the intention to create an oasis for vacationers to enjoy warm, delicious, made-to-order donuts, according to its website.
Duck Donuts’ menu offers customers coffee, sandwiches and ice cream. For its made-to-order signature vanilla cake donut, customers can choose from several toppings, icing and drizzle on the spot.
Some fan favorites include the maple icing chopped bacon doughnut; a cookies and cream doughnut with vanilla icing, Oreo crumbles and hot fudge; and the beach ball doughnut with vanilla icing, rainbow sprinkles and chocolate drizzle.
