“Customers come here to try and explore a new restaurant,” said Gary Pan, the general manager at Kanji.”We do our best to try to serve them.”

The design of the restaurant stays faithful to Japanese culture, according to Pan, while the restaurant menu consists of Hibachi-style food with meat selections including chicken and steak served with fried rice and fresh sushi from their sushi bar.

“We put a strong emphasis on fresh ingredients especially for our sushi,” Pan said. “We make sure our food is always fresh.”

Pan said one of the restaurant’s goals is to offer top-notch customer service whenever customers walk in.

“The restaurant focuses on customer experience, food quality and service quality,” Pan said.

So far, the restaurant has been very popular among local residents.

Elise Ortiz, a Glendale resident and avid sushi lover, told QNS that the food is excellent.

“I can’t stop. I love it. It’s a great place,” Ortiz said. “They do a very great job. It’s very good food.”
