The Juniper Park Civic Association is partnering with the New York City Parks Department to host a series of concerts in Middle Village this summer.

Juniper Valley Park — located at 80th Street and Juniper Boulevard South — will host locals for a series of concerts in July and August. Hundreds of people have attended the summer concert series in past years.

On July 11 at 7 p.m., country music band Nash East will perform at the park. One week later, on July 18 at 7 p.m., there will be a performance from Milagro featuring the music of Santana.

Then, White Wedding will perform ’80s and ’90s hits at 7 p.m. on July 25.

The concert series will skip a week on Aug. 1, when National Night Out Against Crime will come to Juniper Valley Park.

The concert series will resume on Aug. 8 with its finale, School of Rock, set to perform at 7 p.m.

Gary Colter, the musical director for the Juniper Park Association, said that this lineup of performances is a good way to bring people from the community together.

“It’s a big night. We have anywhere between 600 and 1,200 people each Tuesday night,” Colter said. “People love coming and we’ve been doing this for a long time. They love coming up to the park and getting some free music.”

Residents looking to attend these must bring their own chairs.
