The United Adult Ministries celebrates 49 years of Flushing House

The United Adult Ministries held its annual Flushing House Gala Thursday, May 4, at Leonard’s Palazzo in Great Neck.
This is the 49th anniversary of Flushing House.
“We truly are united in serving our residents and coming up with new ideas of how seniors might be able to live completely fulfilling lives,” said President and CEO of United Adult Ministries Rev. Doug Kurtz.
All of the event’s proceeds go directly to supporting the George Nussbaum Fund. George Nussbaum Fund helps subsidize residents’ monthly rental expenses when their resources have been depleted. Nussbaum was a chairman of the board at United Adult Ministries for about 35 years.
