A 7-train rider was struck and killed in Elmhurst early Friday morning, according to the NYPD.

The victim, a 25-year-old man, was hit by a Flushing-bound train while at the 90th St-Elmhurst Ave. subway station at 4:55 a.m., police said.

Officers from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights responded to a 911 call and discovered the man on the tracks. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

An NYPD spokesperson was unable to provide further detail on how the victim was struck, saying the investigation remains ongoing.

Service along the 7 line was suspended in both directions between Queensboro Plaza and Flushing-Main Street station for an hour but was restored in time for the morning rush, according to an MTA spokesman.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification, police said.
