Man sought for shooting off a firearm in front of a Fresh Meadows school: NYPD

A gunman remains at large more than two weeks after he opened fire in broad daylight in front of a Fresh Meadows school on Parson Boulevard.

The suspect was in front of I.S. 250, the Robert F. Kennedy Community School, at 75-40 Parsons Blvd just after 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, when he pulled out a handgun and fired multiple times before running off in an unknown direction. No one was injured in the gunfire.

Police from the 107th Precinct in Fresh Meadows are still looking for the suspect who is wanted in a reckless endangerment investigation that remains ongoing.

The NYPD released a surveillance video that shows the suspect walking along Parsons Boulevard wearing a black Northface winter jacket over a gray hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and white and black sneakers.

Through Dec. 24, the 107th Precinct has reported three shooting incidents in 2023, six fewer than the nine reported at the same point last year, according to the most recent CompStat report.
