Three motorists were carjacked, and two others robbed during a terrifying crime spree in northeast Queens last week, according to police.
The gun-toting thieves targeted the owners of luxury European cars while the victims were in their vehicles in Bayside and Flushing.
The first incident occurred within the confines of the 111th Precinct in Bayside when a woman parked her gray 2018 Porsche sedan near 67th Avenue and 228th Street near Alley Pond Park on the night of Friday, Dec. 15.
A car pulled up alongside her just after 7 p.m. and a stranger got out and pulled a gun on the woman. The alleged perpetrators then took the woman’s Porche and her cell phone and drove off northbound on 228th Street. The suspect was followed by an accomplice in a second car northbound on 228th Street towards the Long Island Expressway, police said. The woman was not injured during the carjacking.
The two men struck about an hour later in the 109th Precinct when the suspect in the stolen Porsche pulled up alongside a 46-year-old man as he parked his black 2022 Mercedes Benz in front of 31-06 Farrington St. near the Whitestone Expressway in Murray Hill. This time the gunman pistol-whipped the victim and stole his car. The two suspects fled the scene in the stolen cars eastbound on the Whitestone Expressway, police said.
EMS responded to the crime scene and rushed the victim to New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Queens where he was listed in stable condition.
Two nights later the duo struck again this time targeting a 41-year-old man who was sitting inside his 2022 BMX SUV at Pople Avenue and College Point Boulevard in Queensboro Hill. The two suspects, who were in the stolen Porsche, entered his vehicle and stole his property at gunpoint taking the victim’s watch and $1,800 in cash before driving off.
The two men struck two more times in the 109th on the night of Monday, Dec. 18.
A 25-year-old man was sitting in his black 2021 BMW SUV in front of 33-70 Prince St. at 3 a.m. when the two men entered his vehicle and one pulled out a handgun and pistol-whipped the victim before forcibly removing his cell phone, jacket and sunglasses. The gunman then got into the BMW and drove off. The second man followed in the stolen Porsche and they sped away. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Nearly an hour later, a 45-year-old man was behind the wheel of a 2021 BMW sedan traveling eastbound in the vicinity of 41st Avenue and Haight Street in Flushing when the two suspects in the stolen black BMW collided with the victim’s vehicle. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and the pair forcibly removed $1,000 in cash and the victim’s sunglasses, police said. They drove away westbound on 41st Avenue toward the Van Wyck Expressway. The victim was not injured.
The NYPD released a photo of one of the suspects on Wednesday and described him as having a light complexion and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black coat and a black ski mask. The second suspect is described as having a dark complexion with a medium build.

Through Dec. 17, the 109th Precinct has reported 315 robberies so far in 2023, 19 more than the 296 reported during the same point last year, according to the most recent CompStat report. Robberies are on the decline in the 111th Precinct. As of Dec. 17, there were 58 robberies reported so far this year in the 111th, 23 fewer than the 81 reported during the same period in 2022, a decrease of 28.4%, according to CompStat.
