New events come with the new year. As we enter the first weekend of 2024, there is plenty of things to do across Queens. Whether it is related to art, entertaining performances, or even contributing to the community, there are a lot of activities to keep people occupied in Queens this weekend.
Friday, Jan. 5

Mulchfest: Long Island City Street Tree Care
As part of Mulchfest, volunteers can help care for local street trees. In addition to learning how to aerate, cultivate, mulch and identify these trees, the volunteers will also learn about the important roles played by the trees in the city.
