Bethpage Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in New York State, officially held a soft opening of its new Ozone Park branch, located at 102-32 Atlantic Ave., on Monday, Feb. 5.
The Ozone Park location is the second among multiple locations planned to open across the borough. The branch will be holding a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Friday, March 15.
Bethpage Branch Manager Ruddy Daville, an experienced bank manager who recently joined the credit union, leads a team of experts at the Ozone Park branch. Daville brings an appreciation of quality customer service with him and hopes the community continues to inquire about the bank at the new site.
“We want businesses and residents to know that we’re not here for us, we’re here for them,” says Daville.
The interior of the brand-new location allows for personable experiences and face-to-face interactions with customers daily. The Ozone Park branch has four offices inside where expert branch members can meet with customers, as well as access to ATM machines for quick customer transactions.
The new location features a slick, new waiting area where the trademark Bethpage colors are seen on the orange couches which compliments the blue accent walls. A shared parking lot with neighboring businesses also makes this branch more accessible for drivers.
The branch is situated next to several prominent Ozone Park businesses. An urgent care and radiology center sits on one side of the credit union, and on the other side there are stores such as Rite Aid, Wing Stop, and Dunkin Donuts, to name a few.
Daville says the plethora of businesses nearby and on Atlantic Avenue is why the branch is located in an ideal space. Bethpage continues to partner with local leaders and community organizations to give back and support their customers.
Daville says providing these services to the community and businesses is something the whole team look forward to achieving in Ozone Park.
“There hasn’t been a bank in this radius in quite some time, so we’re looking forward to hearing concerns that the community has over their banking,” says Daville.
Tara Labriola, the vice president of retail banking at Bethpage Federal Credit Union, joined the Ozone Park team Monday morning and mirrored Daville’s sentiments for the new branch.
“We are really excited to be in the Ozone Park community,” Labriola says. “We’re a community-driven organization and we’re excited to be here and to be able to offer our products and services to the community.”
