The NYPD has identified the bodega worker who was stabbed to death in Jamaica on Saturday night.

Nurul Bhulyan, 40, of 128th Avenue in Springfield Gardens, was working the night shift at Sammy Gourmet Deli, located at 169-03 Jamaica Ave., when a stranger walked into the store at around 9:40 p.m. and attacked Bhulyan, stabbing him multiple times in his neck and shoulder, police said.

Officers from the 103rd Precinct in Jamaica responded to a 911 call of a man stabbed inside the bodega and they found Bhulyan unconscious and unresponsive. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

There are no arrests and the homicide investigation remains ongoing.

Through June 23, the 103rd Precinct has reported two murders so far in 2024, after reporting none at the same point in 2023, according to the most recent CompStat report.
