The Armenian Church of the Holy Martyrs in Bayside is bringing back its annual Armenia Way Festival this weekend.

The outdoor event will feature authentic Armenian cuisine — desserts, wine, and a kebob voted best in Queens — along with live music, dancing, and a designated youth zone. In past years, the event garnered thousands of attendees.

It is free to attend and will kick off at noon on Saturday, Sept. 14, and run until 7 p.m. Between 1- 5 p.m., there will be family fun attractions, including craft tables, a video game truck and ice cream.

The afternoon of food and fun will also feature music by the traditional John Vartan Ensemble and several DJs. The Aradzani Dance Group will also put on a show and lead line dancing lessons.

This year marks the 68th annual festival, which brings together hundreds of members of the Armenian community each year. The festival’s organizers say it is always their largest fundraiser.

The event will be held rain or shine since the outdoor area of the church has covered seating.

Those planning to drive are encouraged to park on the street along the church at 209-15 Horace Harding Expressway.

There will also be a raffle to win a one-week stay at Vacation Village Bonaventure in Weston, Florida, next spring. The prize includes a suite stay near a golf course, tennis courts, spas, the Everglades and the beach.

Those interested in backing the festival as a sponsor or underwriter can donate online. Organizers are also looking for volunteers to help during the Saturday festival.
