The annual Myrtle Avenue Fall Street Festival took over the usually busy city blocks in Ridgewood on Sunday, Sept. 15, with thousands of participants enjoying plenty of food vendors and entertainment.
From 12-6 p.m. on Sunday, the festival brought more than 200 Queens merchants to Myrtle Avenue, offering everything from handcrafted goods to personal care products, antiques and carnival-style rides for certain age groups to enjoy. The festivities also included live musical performances from the one and only Joe Fuoco’s Music Center at the 71st Avenue Plaza.
Car displays from the East Coast Car Association returned to their spot at this year’s festival with a showing of classic cars familiar to festival attendees of years past.
Local sponsors of the Myrtle Avenue Fall Street Festival included the Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, Ridgewood Savings Bank, Maspeth Federal Savings Bank and the lead organizer, Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District.
For Ridgewood residents, the festival is a celebration of the vibrant local talent, culture, food and commerce that thrives within their own neighborhood.
