Three lucky Queens residents are celebrating after winning top prizes in the New York Lottery’s TAKE 5 drawings over the past week, according to an announcement from the New York Lottery.

The first winning ticket was sold for the Sept. 14 TAKE 5 Midday drawing at Guru Hari Stationers Inc. dba Cards and Flowers in Rochdale Village, located at 165-84 Baisley Blvd. The winner will take home $9,616.

A second top-prize ticket was sold the next day, Sept. 15, for the TAKE 5 Evening drawing at The Great Supermarket Inc., located at 222-16 144th Ave. in Springfield Gardens. This ticket is worth $14,676.50.

The streak of luck continued on Sept. 18 with a third top-prize ticket sold inside the Shops at Skyview in Flushing at Skyview Newsstand Inc., located at 40-24 College Point Blvd. That ticket earned its holder $16,646.

TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39, and the drawings are televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winners have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

The New York Lottery encourages players to regularly check their tickets, as they could be the next big winner.
