Man beaten, robbed at a Queens Village Burger King, two suspects remain at large: NYPD

Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village are looking for two suspects who beat and robbed a man in front of a Burger King on Hillside Avenue on the night of Sunday, Oct. 13.

The 46-year-old victim was in front of the fast food restaurant at 9:05 p.m. when two strangers approached and pushed him to the ground, punched him multiple times in the body, police said on Tuesday. The assailants forcibly removed his necklace and iPhone, with a total value of approximately $1,800, before running off eastbound on Hillside Avenue toward Springfield Boulevard. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention at the crime scene.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the two attackers and described one as having a light complexion and wearing a black hooded jacket. His accomplice is described as having a medium complexion and wearing a black hooded jacket and a green baseball cap backward.

Through Oct. 27, the 105th Precinct has reported 108 robberies so far in 2024, 32 fewer than the 140 reported at the same point last year, a decline of 22.9%, according to the most recent CompStat report. Felony assaults are down slightly in the precinct with 374 reported so far this year, four fewer than the 378 reported at the same point in 2023, a decrease of 1.1%, according to CompStat.
