A new Mexican restaurant has spiced up Myrtle Avenue, offering authentic tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, and more.
Taqueria Al Pastor, located at 55-30 Myrtle Ave., opened on Aug. 31 at the former site of the Dominican restaurant Listo el Chimi, much to the delight of its familiar customers.
Tacos start at $4.50, with sides like beans and guacamole available for $4. The restaurant is best known for its tacos al pastor, which are made with spit-roasted pork, pineapple, onion, cilantro, and tortillas.
The local restaurant chain has earned high praise at its other Brooklyn locations, averaging over 4.5 stars in reviews from both online and in-person customers. Earlier this year, it was also named one of ’18 Outstanding Tacos to Try in NYC’ by Eater, a digital media brand dedicated to food and dining.
Before opening on Myrtle Avenue, the nearest Taqueria Al Pastor to Ridgewood was at 128 Wyckoff Ave. in Bushwick, Brooklyn.
Residents can visit the new Mexican eatery from 10 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday, and on weekends.
