A lucky player struck gold in the Oct. 27 TAKE 5 EVENING drawing, securing a top-prize-winning ticket worth $28,448, according to a New York Lottery announcement on Monday.
The ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven, located at JFK Airport’s Building 125, along 147th Avenue in Jamaica.
The TAKE 5 game, one of the New York Lottery’s popular draw games, invites players to pick five numbers from a field of 1 to 39. Drawings are held twice daily, airing at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., with prizes that range based on the number of tickets sold and the number of winners. Ticket holders have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their winnings.
