A New York-based real estate company kicked off Thanksgiving festivities early this year with a huge turkey giveaway on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
A&E Real Estate distributed 300 free turkeys to residents of Kew Gardens Hills and The Opal- A&E’s flagship property in Kew Gardens, as part of their holiday tradition.
Volunteers from the real estate company set up tables outside their office in Kew Gardens Hills to greet families and hand out turkeys to those who requested them.
“Thanksgiving is always a wonderful time of year for families here. Giving out turkeys at Kew Gardens Hills and The Opal is one of our favorite holiday traditions. We want to extend a big thank you to our A&E volunteers and all community members who came out to get into the holiday spirit,” said Maggie Brunn, President of A&E Real Estate.
With Thanksgiving just two weeks away, securing a turkey is one less thing on families’ minds as they approach the busy holiday.
A&E Real Estate, founded in 2011, focuses on workforce housing by investing in multifamily properties across the city. Their residents include hospital workers, teachers, bus drivers, along with police and fire personnel.
