The New York Mets, through their Amazin’ Mets Foundation, are gearing up to host their 10th annual MetsGiving Turkey Giveaway on Friday, Nov. 22, providing a record-breaking 8,500 turkeys to families in need.

The event, presented by local Toyota dealers, will include in-person distributions in all five boroughs, including a major stop in Queens at the Queens Community Justice Center in Jamaica.

This year’s initiative, in collaboration with 20 community partners, will feed more than 68,000 underserved individuals across New York City.

In Queens, the distribution is scheduled for 3 to 4 p.m. at the Queens Community Justice Center located at 162-04 Tuskegee Airmen Way. Mr. Met and Mrs. Met will make a special appearance alongside members of the Mets organization.

Other distribution sites include Project Hospitality on Staten Island, Maimonides Park in Brooklyn, New York Common Pantry in Manhattan, and Part of the Solution in the Bronx. Mets alumni John Franco will join Mr. and Mrs. Met at the Manhattan location earlier in the day.

Since its inception, the MetsGiving Turkey Giveaway has become a hallmark of the team’s commitment to supporting New York City communities, helping ensure that thousands of families can enjoy a warm Thanksgiving meal.
