Raising Cane’s, the popular Louisiana-based fast-food chain known for its chicken fingers, will open its second Queens location at 159-29 Jamaica Ave. on Dec. 17, the company confirmed.
The site, which previously housed a Burger King, is nearing the end of construction, with only interior finishing touches remaining as workers prepare the space for the grand opening in the heart of Jamaica.
This location marks Raising Cane’s latest expansion into the New York City market as the brand builds a fan base in the boroughs. Known for its simple yet beloved menu of chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and its signature Cane’s Sauce, the chain has gained a nationwide following since its founding in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1996.
The Jamaica location follows the successful launch of Raising Cane’s first Queens store in Flushing on July 9, which drew hundreds of eager customers to 39-20 Main St. Despite the summer heat, residents lined up early to be among the first to enjoy the brand’s chicken fingers.
“Since opening our Global Flagship location in Times Square last year, we’ve been taking NYC by storm,” said Raising Cane’s spokesperson Kameron Robertson.
Conveniently located near major public transportation options, the new Jamaica Ave. Raising Cane’s will be accessible via the Jamaica Center–Parsons/Archer subway station, served by the E, J, and Z lines, and several key bus routes. The nearby Long Island Rail Road’s Jamaica Station further connects the restaurant to commuters from Long Island, an area yet to see a Raising Cane’s branch.
Raising Cane’s operates more than 600 locations across the United States and is recognized for its community involvement and a business model that prioritizes employee engagement and customer service.
The new Raising Cane’s will join a variety of existing chicken-focused eateries in the Jamaica area, including Jollibee at 161-02 Jamaica Ave., Jollibee is a Filipino fast-food chain renowned for its Chickenjoy fried chicken and other Filipino-inspired dishes.
