Council Member Joann Ariola’s office is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Feast Giveaway in partnership with The Migrant Kitchen on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at both her offices in Ozone Pak and the Rockaways. The giveaway includes trays of pre-cooked turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and other Thanksgiving fixings that feed up to a family of 4. It is on a first-come, first-served basis, and pre-registration is required. Each of Ariola’s offices will have 100 food trays available for pickup.

Ariola told QNS that this year’s giveaway is an important reminder to fight against food insecurity. “ Nobody should be hungry on Thanksgiving, and this drive is our way of making sure of that,” said Ariola. “Far too many people in District 32 are experiencing food insecurity. Through this initiative and others like it, we can help to alleviate some of the burden on those in need and make sure that the people of my district can have the Thanksgiving they deserve.”
