An unidentified man was struck and killed by a 7 train on Friday morning at the Junction Boulevard station above Roosevelt Avenue in Corona.
Service was disrupted in both directions from Flushing-Main Street to Queensboro Plaza for more than an hour during the morning rush hour as first responders removed the victim from beneath the 7 train.
The collision occurred at 7:07 a.m., and the FDNY responded to the location minutes later. The victim was struck by a Manhattan-bound train on the express tracks and was pronounced dead by EMS on the scene, police said.
According to an NYPD spokeswoman, no criminality is suspected. Local 7 train service resumed at 8:07 a.m. with residual delays, according to the MTA.
The NYPD investigation remains ongoing.
