Craving comfort in a bowl? Bayside just got a flavorful upgrade.
Four Four South Village, the beloved Taiwanese noodle spot, quietly expanded to Bell Boulevard last month, bringing its signature soups and savory specialties to the neighborhood.
Located at 42-23 Bell Blvd., this marks the brand’s second Queens location after its first popular outpost in Flushing. The restaurant also operates in Manhattan’s East Village and Hell’s Kitchen.
Best known for its rich and aromatic braised beef noodle soup, Four Four South Village serves up authentic Taiwanese cuisine with bold flavors and nostalgic flair.
“We expanded to Bayside to make it more convenient for the customers,” said Anthony, the restaurant’s co-owner.
Anthony and his business partner Frank (who asked that their last names not be published) have been working together since opening their first location in Flushing in 2019. Now both residents of Bayside, the pair chose the neighborhood for their latest expansion—a decision influenced by both personal ties and a desire to bring authentic Taiwanese cuisine to a new audience.

Longtime friends, even before immigrating to the U.S., the duo named their restaurant Four Four South Village in honor of Taiwan’s first military-dependent village, widely recognized as the birthplace of Taiwanese beef noodles. To ensure the highest quality for their signature dishes, they’ve hired chefs who have earned gold and silver medals in the International Section of Taipei’s prestigious International Beef Noodle Festival.
While the menu features a wide range of Taiwanese favorites, from crispy popcorn chicken and steamed or fried dumplings to refreshing cold dishes like jade cucumbers—it’s the noodle soups that keep both loyal and first-time customers coming back. According to Anthony, the braised beef noodle soup remains a top seller and it’s easy to see why.

The hot and hearty braised beef noodle soup features tender cuts of beef, fresh, springy noodles and a rich, flavorful broth that warms you from the inside out. Another standout is the crispy popcorn chicken, a favorite among regulars. With plenty of seating and walls adorned with photos of the original Four Four South Village in Taiwan, the restaurant offers a cozy and inviting setting for lunch or dinner.
