Head over to Pesso's Italian Ices in Bayside for your favorite frozen treat!

Sometimes the only way to beat the heat is to escape into a wonderful world of Italian ices, ice cream and more. Pesso’s Homemade Italian Ices in Bayside has the perfect remedy for your midday meltdown and will surely keep you cool this summer!

As we pulled up to the family-owned joint located at 203-20 35th Ave., we met a swarm of summer campers who were requesting their ice cold treats from a side window. When we began snapping photos of the little ladies, we were bombarded with questions, “Are we going to be famous? Are we going to be on TV?” The group of girls were ecstatic about the idea of being in a newspaper and instantly rejoiced, “We’re going to be famous!” as they struck several poses.

Inside the year-round ice cream shop, which operates seven days a week since 2004, the astonishing selection of Italian ices, creamy ices, ice cream, gelato, frozen yogurt and smoothies is overwhelming. It took us several moments to choose from Pesso’s extensive selection of Italian ices, in the end chosing Pesso’s Punch, a fruity blend that was absolutely satisfying.

Here are some innovative flavors that will leave you equally indecisive: Bubble gum, Green Tea, Cola, Guava, Margarita, Passion Fruit, Strawberry Daiquiri, Swedish Fish, Vanilla Chip and Piña Colada. The single scoops are $2.50 and doubles are $3.50.

If you’re more of an ice cream lover, you won’t be able to resist this delicious variety. Try the Butter Almond, Coffee Brownie Brittle, Heavenly Chocolate, Milk & Cookies, Cotton Candy or Moose Tracks plus more. Whether you’re in a snowstorm or a heatwave, Pesso’s Italian Ices is guaranteed to connect with your cool side on any given day!
