Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Friday outside of a Springfield Gardens home.

According to on Oct. 13, a 21-year-old male was shot twice in the leg by an unknown assailant outside of 186-21 140th Ave. The victim says that he heard the shots before realizing he was hit.

Cops say that the suspect then fled the scene in a silver sedan. The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition.

ESU and officers from the 113th Precinct responded to the scene and recovered shell casings. No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
