Police are looking for a man behind stickups at two Queens gas stations in two days last week.

According to law enforcement sources, at 4:55 a.m. on Jan. 17, an unknown man entered a gas station located at 35-15 Greenpoint Ave. in Long Island City. Once inside, the man approached the 49-year-old male employee and demanded the money from the register.

The victim complied and the suspect took off on foot in an unknown direction with $1,000 in cash. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The following day, authorities said, the suspect entered another gas station in Briarwood, located at 138-50 Hillside Ave., at 4:50 a.m. on Jan. 18. The suspect approached the 56-year-old male employee and demanded the contents of the register.

The thief then fled the location on foot in an unknown direction with $300. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 30 and 40-years-old, standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing all black clothing.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
