Detectives are looking into the death of a woman who was found with body trauma in her Springfield Gardens home on Tuesday night.
At 9:10 p.m. on July 17, officers from the 105th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious person at a home on 145th Road near 167th Street. Upon their arrival, police found 29-year-old Samantha Stewart, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma to her neck and head.
EMS rushed to the location and declared Stewart dead at the scene. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.
Police say that it the motive behind Stewart’s death is unknown at this time. There were no obvious signs of forced entry into Stewart’s home.
No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation continues.
