A pedestrian was killed Wednesday evening when a Q53 bus struck him in Elmhurst.

According to police, around 7:30 p.m., the man stepped out from between two cars parked in front of 79-01 Broadway, walked into the path of a bus traveling southbound and was hit.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
