Nearly 150 people attended the opening last Thursday of a new multi-service health center in Bayside dedicated to providing access to medical and specialty care for the mentally retarded and developmentally disabled under one roof.
The new 5,500-square-foot multi-service center, located within the YAI/National Institutes for People with Disabilities building at 211-11 Northern Blvd., will provide a number of medical services to people with autism, mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.
