Glen Oaks rescue corps to build new headquarters

By Adam Kramer

The gutted frame house, which was built in 1948 and served as the home to the Glen Oaks Volunteer Ambulance Corps since 1982, was torn down Friday to make space for the corps to build its new home.

The Glen Oaks Volunteer Ambulance Corps building on the corner of Union Turnpike and 257th Street in Glen Oaks was damaged by an electrical fire April 12, 1999.
