There will be an important community meeting of the College Point Civic/Taxpayers Association on Thursday, June 26, at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus hall at 22-38 College Point Blvd. in College Point.
The Holy Trinity Youth Committee car wash will be Saturday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church at 14-45 143rd St. in Whitestone.

Monsignor McClancy Memorial High School is accepting applications for its summer baseball and basketball camps. The baseball camp for boys and girls from the ages of 6 to 15 runs for two weeks: July 7 to 11 and July 14 to 18. The basketball camp for boys only from ages 7 to 15 runs for one week: Aug. 11 to 15. The Diocesan Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration will be at St. Mel’s at 28-20 154th St. in Flushing on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m., Bishop Valero presiding. All couples married in 1953 are encouraged to take part in this special prayer service. You may invite your family and friends.
The bishop will present each couple with a personalized scroll. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony. If you would like to join in the celebration, please call the parish office at 718-746-7730 before Sept. 1.
Sabina says…Pets make a difference in your house. Pat and Gerald Moran got a new beagle and named it Susy. She is playful and certainly keeps lively.
