Queens Oratorio to sing at Queensborough show

The prestigious community choral organization boasts 90 members and is under the artistic direction of Maestro David Close. Professional soloists Julie Miller, Jann Degnan, David Katz and Vaughn Fritts will be featured, along with the Orchestral Arts Ense

Close is the executive and artistic director of Queens-based Musica Reginae Productions, the host of the Accolade Concert Series at Flushing Town Hall, and director of music at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Forest Hills.

The Oratorio Society of Queens is sponsored in part by the Queens Delegation of the New York City Council and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, state Sens. Frank Padavan and Serphin R. Maltese, with additional funding from Materials for the Arts. Corporate sponsors include Emigrant Savings Bank, New York Community Bank and Ridgewood Savings Bank.

Queensborough Community College is located on 56th Avenue one block east of Springfield Boulevard in Bayside. Parking is free on the main lot adjacent to the theater, which offers easy-access entry.
