A sanitation truck driver was killed in an accident on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) on August 28.
According to reports, the truck overturned, ran through a guard rail, and ejected Michael Occhino, 25, onto Furman Street.
Occhino was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital while the truck remained suspended over the roadway.
Officials are blaming the fatal accident on the rain- and gasoline-slicked road surface.
Occhino is the sixth sanitation worker to die on the job in three years.
