Kids free at Hall of Science

The New York Hall of Science has been named the cultural organization of the month for August by NYC & Company, which means children will receive free admission throughout the month.
&#8220We're thrilled to have been selected as NYC & Company's Cultural Organization of the Month,” said Hall of Science President and COO Marilyn Hoyt.
The New York Hall of Science, which is located in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, teaches children about science and technology through hands-on activities and more than 400 interactive exhibits.
NYC & Company, which is the city's tourism marketing organization, chose the Hall of Science because of its family-friendly and educational motif.
In celebration of this recognition, the Hall of Science is offering free admission to a child for every paying adult.. All they have to do is mention &#8220cultural organization of the month.”
Through the summer, &#8220CSI: Crime Scene Insects” is taking place daily, teaching children about how insects can be used to solve crimes. On weekends, &#8220Bugged Out Science” holds various activities.
The New York Hall of Science is located at 47-01 111th Street. Its August hours are Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. For information visit www.nyscience.org or call 718-699-0005.
