Korean teens review year

Members of the Korean Youth Community Project Team (YCPT) gathered at Flushing Hospital on December 15 for their last meeting of the year to discuss and evaluate their achievements during 2006. Projects the community service group worked on included raising money for World Vision to create awareness of the impact of poverty in North Korea, fundraising for relief for North Korea from the impact of Typhoon Ewiniar, and outreach to the Korean Community in Flushing to understand the stresses specific to Asian teenagers and families. Sponsored by the Korean Family Service Center, a non-profit providing culturally appropriate services to the Korean Community in the New York area, the YCPT is a group of dedicated teenagers working to effect change in the Korean Community in Flushing.
