Lancman takes oath of office

Assemblymember Rory Lancman, representing Queens’ 25th Assembly District, was sworn in to office on Friday, January 12 by United States District Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis in a ceremony at St. John’s University. The ceremony was attended by nearly 400 community leaders, friends and legislators, including Senator Charles Schumer, Congressmember Anthony Weiner, New York City Comptroller William Thompson, former Borough President Claire Shulman, State Senator Toby Stavisky, Assemblymembers Nettie Mayersohn and Mark Weprin, and Councilmembers James Gennaro, John Liu, and Eric Gioia.
