The Queens Museum of Art will hold an end-of-show party on Saturday, January 13 as the exhibition “Queens International 2006: Everything All at Once” comes to a close.
During the party, which is free and open to the public, there will be live music, poetry readings and performances.
“Queens International 2006” is part of the museum's “biennial survey of Queens-based artists.” This year marked the third installment of it.
The exhibition included 52 artists whose works reflected various aspects of American culture. There was also an exhibition within the exhibition, which showed photographs depicting life in Queens from 38 photographers.
The party will begin at 3:30 p.m. with a multi-media performance by Still Present Pasts entitled 𔄞.25: History Beneath the Skin.”
From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. “Departure Lounge” will take place. Poets and sound artists from Queens will participate, including Vikas Menon, Garth Graeper, Shanxing Wand, Carley Moore and Hal Sirowitz, the inaugural Poet Laureate of Queens, and einLab.
Live music by R-tronika will be performed from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The end-of-show party will conclude with DJ Marcelo Cunning from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
