Queens Chamber and Executive VP Egan part ways

The Queens Chamber of Commerce and its Executive Vice President Bill Egan have parted ways, according to a statement released by the Chamber on Friday, May 18.
The Chamber made the announcement one day after their Annual Business Expo and Luncheon where City Council Speaker Christine Quinn delivered the keynote address.
Egan, who was in charge of the day-to-day operations of the Chamber and attended all of its events as well as other business events throughout the borough, served as the Executive Vice President for about four years.
“Bill had other things he wanted to move onto,” said Carol Conslato, the Chamber’s First Vice President. “He did a great job for the Chamber.”
Meanwhile, Sophia Ganosis, who served as the Executive Assistant for the Chamber for the past five years, has taken over as the Interim-Executive Vice President.
“Together with our new president, Albert F. Pennisi, I am happy to be of service to the diverse business community in Queens,” she said.
Conslato described the decision as a mutual parting of ways, and said the Chamber is going to begin a search for a new Executive Vice President. Conslato is going to chair the committee the Chamber is forming to review candidates to fill the post.
