Driver With Suspended License Hits, Kills Girl

A 13-year-old girl was struck and killed by a driver with a suspended license on Thursday, August 16.
The victim, Caroolina Hernandez, was crossing the intersection of 57th Avenue and Junction Boulevard on her bicycle when she was hit by a 2006 Chevy truck making a right turn.
The girl was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver, Carlos Noriega-Olivia, 36, was arrested on the scene and charged with driving with a suspended license.
