The Fire Department rescued two swimmers who drifted too far from shore in the Rockaways on September 12.
FDNY rescuers received a distress call and responded to the scene at Beach 98th Street, where they fished the swimmers out of the water. Officials said the two were probably hang-gliding or parasailing before entering the water. Both appear to be in good condition, officials said.
