NYHQ is Breast Imaging Center of Excellence

New York Hospital Queens has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology’s Commission on Quality and Safety. The October designation happened during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In order to be deemed a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, New York Hospital Queens had to have the American College of Radiology accredit them in stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. They also had to receive accreditation for mammography from either the ACR or FDA-approved accrediting body.
