Second annual Turkey Drive at Atlas Park

Non-perishable foods will be collected through November 17 during the Second Annual Turkey Drive being organized through a collaboration between The Shops at Atlas Park and City Harvest.
From now until November 17, Queens residents are being asked to donate canned or non-perishable foods and drop then off at The Shops at Atlas Park, which is located in Glendale.
“We plan to collect enough food to fill an entire City Harvest Truck,” said Damon Hemmerdinger, the development director of The Shops at Atlas Park. “Last November, The Shops had only been open for a short while, but we were inspired by how many community members were willing to pitch in. This year promises to be an even greater success.”
Donations can be left in a designated container at the shopping center’s Hospitality Center.
Those who make a donation will be giving a coupon for a $1 off of their parking. They will also be entered in a raffle for a $200 gift card.
The Shops at Atlas Park is located at 8000 Cooper Avenue at 80th Street in Glendale. For more information, visit www.theshopsatatlaspark.com. To find out more about City Harvest, visit www.cityharvest.org.
