Ed Jawin, Bronze Star recipient and Douglaston civic leader, dies

In a long career with major American corporations and the state of New York, Jawin specialized in marketing and training.

He earned two Bronze Stars for valor in battle during the Normandy campaign.

Born in New Britain, Conn., Jawin grad
