A marketing prank may backfire on a local business who thought it would be a good idea to rile up Bronx residents with ads that looked distinctively like parking tickets, placed on the windshields of parked cars in Throggs Neck, Pelham Bay and Morris Park.
To advertise an event on December 15, 2007, Fusion Fitness, at 3679 E. Tremont Avenue, distributed a few thousand of the look-alike summonses in these neighborhoods.
