James Moye, 19, is accused of forcing the victim, who was not identified, into a van in Queens Village Dec. 9 and raping her before dropping her off at Jamaica Center, according to Queens DA Richard Brown.Daquan Williamson, a 22-year-old Jamaica man who was identified as an accomplice in the rape but has yet to be apprehended, allegedly helped Moye force the victim into the van and brandished a handgun.At a Monday court appearance on a probation violation that kicked in following his arrest, Moye's lawyer said prosecutors presented him with a plea offer of 20 years in prison.Moye faces up to 25 years to life in jail after he was charged Dec. 13 with predatory sexual assault, rape, criminal sexual act and kidnapping before Queens Criminal Court Judge William Harrington, Brown said.Wearing a gray fleece sweatshirt and his hair in cornrows at the Monday court appearance, Moye remained in jail without bail.His next court date was scheduled for Feb. 4, when there is expected to be a “possible disposition” of the case, Harrington said.The prosecutor in Moye's case said he was on probation “for a similar offense with some violence in it.”Reach reporter Howard Koplowitz by e-mail at hkoplowitz@timesledger.com or by phone at 718-229-0300, Ext. 173.
