The New Parkway Hospital, located in Forest Hills, announced last week that as of Thursday, February 28 it has “officially exited from bankruptcy,” after having spent about three years in bankruptcy protection.
A 251-bed acute care facility, the New Parkway Hospital filed its notice with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Several new services and programs were added by the hospital during the last several years. Its other achievements include having the best emergency turnaround time in Queens, reducing length of stay, and improving patient outcomes.
The New Parkway Hospital CEO and President Dr. Robert J. Aquino extended his thanks to those who have supported the hospital as it worked towards exiting bankruptcy. He also said that the hospital is “in a position to become one of the region’s premier hospitals.”
