Patients needing special surgical and non-surgical treatments for spinal care can now receive it at the Lynbrook Neurosurgery & Spine Center, a new addition to the North Shore-LIJ Health System that is part of their Harvey Cushing Institutes of Neuroscience.
The center is staffed by top spinal surgeons Dr. Mitchell Levine, Dr. M. Chris Overby, Dr. Peter Hollis and Dr. Mark Eisenberg and rehabilitation specialist Dr. Shaheda A. Quaraishi.
The center is 2,200 square-feet. It has three exam rooms and a procedure room, which has state-of-the-art technology.
In 2006, doctors Levine, Overby, Hollis, and Eisenberg became part of the North Shore-LIJ Health system and opened an office in Great Neck. It specifically assisted patients with brain tumors and spinal disorders.
A demand for services is what influenced them to open the Lynbrook office.
